Production Facilities

Our products are manufactured at state of the art purpose built facilities in Somerset. The facilities came into use in 2010 and were granted cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) status from the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) in 2012.

cGMP certification means that all products are manufactured to pharmaceutical standards so consumers can be assured they are purchasing consistently high quality probiotic products. Pride is taken in Quality Assurance and Quality Management Systems throughout the facility.

MHRA - Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA)

The production facilities have the following capabilities:

  • Power blending
  • Capsule filling
  • Tablet manufacture
  • Sachet making
  • Paste mixing
  • Paste filling and labelling
  • Blister packing
  • Tub filling and labelling
  • Tamper evident cartonning
  • Pellet manufacture
  • X-Ray inspection

All products manufactured in the purpose facilities are subject to stringent quality control procedures and are guaranteed to be of the highest quality. Raw materials are purchased from Quality Assured approved suppliers and all systems are designed to conform to cGMP Quality Standards and backed by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) accredited microbiological and analytical laboratories, which carry out the analysis of raw material and finished products. Batch certificates are kept for all productions and are available upon request.

The production facility holds quality accreditations with cGMP by the MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency), ISO 9001:2008, FEMAS NOPS (feed Materials Assurance Scheme, Naturally Occurring Prohibited Substances). There are fully documented Quality Assurance, HACCAP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), Health and Safety and Hygiene policies, forming the basis of all procedures and operations. Conformation to the highest standards in all aspects of our organisation is the minimum expected level. Risk assessments and continuous improvement are used to conform to the quality assurance standards whilst adhering to all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements and food safety objectives.
